Candy uses the same currency for other features of the platform, so a balance is shared across the app rather than reserved for Shorts.
A balance never expires from your attention alone, so it helps to glance at it before you start a series and again when you finish.
How a series sets its price
Every series carries one flat price per paid episode. Open the third episode and the cost is the same as the second, with no mystery surcharge for a scene running long. Different series can sit at different prices, which is why each of our series pages displays the current figure live instead of freezing it in text.
The first episode is outside this system entirely. It plays before you spend anything, and its length is also shown on the series page.

What counts as free, and what does not
Opening a Candy account is free, and so is the first episode of a series. Browsing the library, reading premises and filtering by tag also cost nothing. The meter only starts when you press unlock on a later episode.
Nothing in that flow charges you without a clear tap, but read each confirmation screen anyway. It is your money and your habit, and the screen is the last honest checkpoint.
Where tokens come from
There are two routes. A paid Candy AI plan includes a monthly token allowance, along with the other premium features Candy lists on its subscription page. Or you can buy a token pack for the moment, without committing to a plan.
